I Play Hard

It's Thursday! The 29th of May. The anniversary of the first ascent to the summit of Mount Everest (so says Google).
Anyway, today was pretty awesome.
...
Okay, so it was normal through and through - nothing too special. I've just spent the majority of today making myself believe it was a day to be hyper-happy for (I begged to differ from the gloomy, bitter, angry, depressed, lethargic and ultimately unhappy mood everyone was sending out in suffocating waves).
All the same, I ended up playing Ultimate Frisbee outside for English... and fell spectacularly, if I do say so myself. I apparently fall "with Class." My secret, you ask? Practice. And boy, do I mean practice. I've had my share of skids and slips and falls every time I play anything remotely athletic.
That must be why I'm not much a gaming person. I've had one too many scrapes for my liking. Every time I play, I give my almost all. No holding back. Aggressive through ad through.
And electronic games are just too boring for my taste. Card games are too... bland. No stress-relieving physical activity going on. Call me crazy, but it's just nothing compared to actually being out in the open with the fresh air and wind at your back.
So after the game my team won during English, I ended up back outside playing again for After-School stuff. I'm glad I had a fantastic team to play with...
I didn't want to play at all the 1st time around, but Trin (my friend who changed on me since we last met) dragged me into it. The 2nd time I knew I had to play. I was tired from the first round... but I just felt so exhilarated and free when playing! I was addicted to that timeless feeling of de-stressing. I needed more. So I willingly made my place among my team and managed to score a few points.
My teacher told me later she was surprised I was athletic - meaning she wasn't expecting me to play as I did.
What can I say?
I play hard.

Why do people with closed minds always open up their mouths?
Here's to you and here's to me,
Best friends we'll always be,
But if by chance we disagree
to hell with you and here's to me.
(I always found this funny)
